Housing Allocations Process

Through our first two projects at St Clements and Citizens House, we have created detailed allocations processes through consultations with local residents to help us find the right people for our first two CLTs. The five guiding principles were: fairness, transparency, simplicity, legality and scalability.

The five eligibility criteria (weighted according to priority) were:

  • Connection –  Minimum of five years’ connection to Tower Hamlets or Lewisham

  • Involvement – Belong to and participate in the local community

  • Finance – Priced out of the open housing market and able to afford a London CLT home

  • Housing Need – More suitable (than current) accommodation required

  • Supportive of London CLT
