From Campaigning to Homes: London CLT AGM 2026

Last night, London CLT members, residents, campaigners, partners and supporters came together at St James Kidbrooke Church for our 2026 AGM.
This year’s theme, “Community – From Campaigning to Homes”, reflected the journey at the heart of London CLT’s work: from local people coming together around a shared need, through campaigning and organising, to the delivery of genuinely and permanently affordable homes.
The evening began with an optional visit to our Susan Road site in Kidbrooke. Nathaniel, Chair of Greenwich Citizen Housing, helped host the visit before welcoming everyone to the AGM and reflecting on the group’s journey since its first meeting at St James Church in 2019. Paul then opened the evening and introduced the programme.

Shaping our future together
Kayleigh led a discussion on London CLT’s vision and mission, inviting members to think about the question:
“In 10 years, London CLT made our city better because we helped communities to ________.”
Attendees shared ideas in pairs and contributed their thoughts on what London CLT should be working towards over the coming decade.
Updates from across London

Oliver led a round-up of community projects across London, with Andrada sharing an update on Scylla Road and Jackie speaking about the Ealing project, alongside updates on Cable Street, Christchurch Road, Lambeth and Redbridge.
Janet then led a conversation with Citizens House residents Alex and Trevie, who spoke about their experiences of living there, the role residents played in shaping the scheme, and the lessons that can be carried into future London CLT projects.
The conversation then returned to Susan Road, with Nathaniel and Ron discussing how the campaign began, how the project has evolved and how the local community has remained involved throughout. They also looked ahead to the next stages of the project and the importance of maintaining community involvement as the homes move towards delivery. We were also pleased to hear from Lewisham Councillor Daniel Dream, who spoke about community-led housing development and its potential in Lewisham.

Reviewing the year
The formal AGM gave members an opportunity to reflect on London CLT’s wider work over the past year.
Paul looked back at the organisation’s achievements and future direction, including our best-practice work, support from Impact on Urban Health and Nationwide, and the continuing challenge of securing the revenue and capital funding needed to grow community-led housing.
Oliver then led the formal AGM business, including the previous AGM minutes and Annual Report, before Nabeel, our Treasurer, presented the audited accounts, Treasurer’s report, income and expenditure, balance sheet and an update on the Community Share Offer.
Our Board

The evening concluded with the London CLT Board election.
Kayleigh introduced the candidates, with all 12 candidates given an opportunity to introduce themselves to members. Oliver then explained the voting arrangements before the ballot took place.
We were really encouraged by the level of interest in joining the Board. For those not elected this time, there will be other opportunities to get involved, including co-opted roles, committee positions and future Board vacancies. We’ll be in touch with those who expressed an interest to discuss these opportunities further.
The newly elected Board then came together for a group photograph before Paul formally closed the AGM.

Thank you
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on the night - our residents, members, speakers, candidates, volunteers, partners and supporters.
And a particular thank you to St James Kidbrooke Church for hosting us, and to the Greenwich community for welcoming London CLT to Kidbrooke.
The evening was a reminder that community-led housing starts with people: people organising, campaigning, sharing their experiences and staying involved for the long term.
From campaigning to homes, that collective effort remains at the heart of what London CLT is about.
Thank you to everyone who continues to be part of it.
