After volunteering with London CLT from 2014, Kate Gould was formally appointed as Legal Adviser to the Board in July 2016. She advises on many different aspects of London CLT's work, conducting initial legal assessments of new sites and projects and helping with the drawing up of heads of terms, instructing external solicitors and working with them to develop the property law documentation for projects, reviewing the paperwork for loan facilities and grants, helping to develop policies and advising on their implementation, and helping to monitor compliance.

Kate Gould has an MA(Cantab) in Law and qualified in 1997 at Nicholson Graham & Jones, a highly regarded City firm now forming the London office of K&L Gates. She worked in their property department for seven years before taking a career break to raise three children.

She started paid work again in December 2015, as a consultant to solicitors' firm Thea Ltd. Her work for London CLT is carried out through Norfolk House Consulting Ltd (which is not a registered body).
